What You Can Book An Appointment For
Every service below can be booked online or by phone. Walk-ins are welcome too, though booking ahead is preferred. Most are bulk billed with a valid Medicare or DVA card.
A small number of services are not covered by Medicare and attract a private fee, including travel vaccines, pre-employment and licence medicals, and cosmetic treatments. See the fee table below, or ask reception when you book.

My Doctors Clinic Surfers Paradise bulk bills all Medicare and DVA card holders, of all ages, for every eligible service, every day we are open. There is no out-of-pocket cost to bulk billed patients for any Medicare or DVA rebatable service.
A one-off $45 new patient administration fee applies per person (including children) and is non-refundable.
Some services are not covered by Medicare. A full list of current private fees is available at reception on request. A summary of the common categories is below.

Overseas visitors and patients without a current Medicare or DVA card
You will be advised of the applicable fee before your consultation. Payment is accepted by EFTPOS, credit card or cash at the time of service. Where we hold a direct billing arrangement with your insurer we will bill them directly. Otherwise we will provide an itemised tax invoice for you to claim reimbursement from your insurer.
We accept patients covered by the major OSHC providers, including Bupa, Medibank, Allianz Care, ahm, nib and CBHS International Health.
Referred care
Services we refer you to outside the practice, such as specialist consultations, imaging or some pathology tests, may involve a separate out-of-pocket cost set by that provider, not by us. Your GP will let you know if this is likely before you leave.
Our onsite pathology collection centre is run by Australian Clinical Labs. Most GP requested tests are bulk billed, and your GP will tell you if a particular test is not.

New patients, start here
If this is your first visit, please complete our online New Patient Registration Form once you have made your appointment. It saves you filling in forms at reception and lets your doctor review your history before you sit down.

What to bring on the day
- Your Medicare card, or DVA card
- Any private health or OSHC insurance details
- Photo ID if this is your first visit
- A list of your current medications, including anything over the counter
- Referral letters, scan results or pathology results you already have
- Your concession or Health Care Card, if you have one
- For children, their My Health Record or immunisation history statement

Everything Under One Roof
Pathology, pharmacy and allied health are all inside the same building, so most visits can be finished in one trip.
Onsite pathology
An Australian Clinical Labs collection centre operates inside the clinic, so blood tests and swabs requested by your GP can usually be done straight after your appointment. Open Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday 8:00am to 12:00pm.
Onsite pharmacy
Paradise Compounding Pharmacy is in the same building at Piazza 16 and is open 7 days: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, Saturday and Sunday 8:30am to 5:00pm. It is a private prescription compounding pharmacy, so scripts can be filled before you leave.
Onsite allied health
Our allied health team includes a podiatrist, dietitian, exercise physiologist and physiotherapist, and our nursing staff are trained in wound care, burns, immunisations and chronic disease management. Ask reception to book alongside your GP visit.

Yes. If you have several issues to discuss, need a health check, a mental health care plan, a procedure or a medical certificate for employment or licensing, ask for a long appointment when you book so enough time is set aside.
Generally yes. Your GP needs to review your history before issuing a repeat prescription or a referral, so book a standard appointment online or call reception to arrange it.
