Yes, My Doctors Clinic Surfers Paradise is a predominantly bulk billing medical centre. Bulk billing is available for most eligible patients holding a valid Medicare card. This means there is no out-of-pocket cost for the majority of GP consultations. Private fees may apply for certain procedures or non-Medicare services. Yes. Alongside eligible Medicare card holders, we bulk bill Department of Veterans' Affairs card holders. Bring your card to every visit so reception can process it correctly.
Several of our scheduled health assessments are bulk billed for eligible patients, including GP mental health care plans, the 45 to 49 year health check, the 75 years and over annual health check and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health check. Ask reception to confirm your eligibility.

Yes, we warmly welcome international patients and visitors to Surfers Paradise and the Gold Coast. Your doctor reviews every result that comes back. The clinic will contact you if you need to be seen sooner, otherwise book a follow up appointment to go through them. Reception is not able to give clinical results out over the phone. Collection centre hours are on our on site pathology page.
Yes. Referrals are written during a consultation so your GP can assess you first and include the right clinical detail. A standard GP referral to a specialist is generally valid for 12 months from your first visit to that specialist.
