For more than 20 years My Doctors Clinic has been the family practice for Surfers Paradise, through changes to the skyline, waves of new residents, and the visitors who pass through the Gold Coast every year. What has not changed is the model: a full general practice, open every day of the year, where you can walk in without an appointment and still see a doctor who will manage your health for the long term.
Our GPs work alongside an onsite allied health team that includes a podiatrist, dietitian, exercise physiologist and physiotherapist, plus practice nurses trained in wound care, burns, immunisations and complex chronic disease management. There is an onsite pathology collection centre and an onsite compounding pharmacy in the same building, which saves most patients a second trip.
Between them our doctors hold special interests across minor operative procedures, cosmetic medicine, travel medicine, women’s health, sports medicine and musculoskeletal medicine. We also look after international students on OSHC through AHM, Allianz, Medibank and Bupa, a practical detail that matters in a suburb with as many students and long-stay visitors as this one.

The pathology collection centre is open Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm and Saturday 8am to 12pm. The onsite compounding pharmacy can prepare tailored medications as well as filling standard scripts.

Medicare and DVA consultations are bulk billed at no cost to you. New patients pay a one-off $45 administration fee on their first visit, per person. Full fees are on our booking page.

What to Expect at Your First Visit
Joining a new practice is mostly paperwork and waiting when nobody tells you what to bring. Here is exactly how a first appointment at My Doctors Clinic works, so you can get it done in one visit.
1. Before you come
Bring your Medicare card, any concession or DVA card, a list of the medications you take, and the name of your previous GP so we can request your records. Visiting from overseas? Bring your travel or OSHC insurance details.
2. At reception
New patients fill in a short registration form and pay the one-off $45 administration fee. Allow an extra ten minutes for this. It is only ever charged once, and returning visits skip this step entirely.
3. With your doctor
A standard consultation runs about 15 minutes. If you have several things to discuss, need a care plan or a mental health plan, ask for a long appointment when you book so there is time to cover everything.
4. Tests and results
Bloods are usually taken straight after your consultation at the onsite pathology centre, and an onsite compounding pharmacy can prepare medications in a specific strength or form. Your doctor reviews every result.

This practice is committed to preventative care. With your consent we will send a reminder when a screening test, health assessment or vaccination falls due. That includes cervical screening, skin checks, heart health checks, 45 to 49 year assessments and over-75 assessments.
